2012 Journey ..

It's been a colorful 2012 year for me. Full of happiness, laughter, emotionally unstable and lead to sorrow..
Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for what you have given us.  Please bless us every second of this precious life.

I wasn't really focus on work in 2012 , i just do what ever i think i can and able to do as was busy traveling from KL to Kuantan for the family especially my late mum until I decided to move in with mum and dad. Eventho i'm not able to focus at work but I was much happier to be with my mum till her last breath. And now I miss her every minute. Will never forget Friday 12 October 2012 the last day i spoke to my mum :( and I can't hear her voice anymore..May Allah grant the best for her and she'll be placed in Jannah, InsyaAllah. Al-Fatihah.

I'm still struggling to face the world without my mum. Alhamdulillah, I have the rest of other family members to give me full support to make sure MPC to grow well one day.

I've so much dream for MPC, and really hope for a smooth sailing. 

So, looking back 2012's journey..

Shame to mention that I have a few pending craft / sewing work to be accomplished. InsyaAllah, shall get all the request done accordingly ( hope people understand I'm yet to recover from the grief )..

With that, MPC welcoming 2013 which shall enter in a few hours time from now with high hope and full of success. InsyaAllah. Not forgetting a better me as a person, I have to see myself consistently penuhi tuntutan ibadah as a Muslim. 

Thanks to everyone out there , who's being there for Maya Puri Creations..especially to the family members, friends, followers, and not forgetting the print media journalist for the great exposure and write up. Thanks heaps !!! ..

Dr Mastura and Dr Azhar's Hantaran

Was a great pleasure to get the hantaran done for Dr. Mastura. Didn't see her for quite sometimes until she buzzed me in FB and telling me that she's getting married. Finally :) .. oh ya, i was one of her teacher at her learning centre ( had fun time teaching the Korean students ).

She leave everything to me to decide on her hantaran color ...so, since the trust given, and tadaaa ...

    and palette below as your reference :-

   And finally this is her hand bouquet .. simple yet sweet enough for a mature lady.

D.I.Y .. Alternative to your Ring Pillow ..

Having trouble to find idea to place your wedding band ? Here is one alternative .. by using your old favorite picture frame ( that u might wanna throw away :)..pls don't ..u might use it on your special day ) or get a new one perhaps  ..

So what u need :-

• old / new picture frame
• artificial flowers
• ribbon
• glue / hot glue
• scissor

and just follow the steps below : -

how to :-

1. use back of your frame 

2. glue artificial flowers...fill up all the gabs ( step 2 - 4 )

3. step 5 - secure ribbon with glue ( prefer Hot Glue ) right in the middle of the frame

4. Lastly tie your wedding band and now it's ready to use on your special day.

Glad to be part in preparing deco project for the daughter of my former secondary school teacher.
Didn't see her since i left Sri Aman i.e. 1993 .. and now she's engaging me to get some deco done for her only daughter :).

It was just a minimalist deco for the house. They prefer to keep it simple as possible thus you'll see from the pic below not so much adding up here and there .. Congratulations to the family for the new addition. :)

Been almost a year since their engagement  December 2011. Alhamdulillah given trust to do the wedding hantaran.  This time around, used a few range of chocolate & green palate as the combination colors.

Alhamdulillah, mum of the groom was really happy with the outcome. Syukur.

Been away from my blog for quite a while. Trying my best to get up again after great loss to the family.   Really wired feeling without my mum around. She's the reason I'm here.  May Allah grant the best for her soul and hope she knows that i missed her so much.

Tough time to pick up .. somehow i still got to do my cousins request. Only managed to get the engagement hantaran and the hand bouquet done as I was still in a sad phase at that point of time.  Pitty them got to get somebody else to do the dais.

And i don't really into taking pictures so here's only what i managed to get ...

Shall hear the good news next year ya ..

Al-Fatihah

It's been a week after the last post. And it was so happened after my last post ( sugar cookie dated 12 Oct 2012 ), at 1437hrs I've lost my beloved mother :). Moga Allah tempatkan ibunda dikalangan orang2 yg beriman. Alhamdulillah, she passed away on Friday, the greatest day for Muslim.  And all went well. Thanks to all whom has given full support and came to visit.

Somehow, I'm still sad and shocked hope for speedy recovery. Really appreciate to extend your do a and fatihah for my late mother. Al-Fatihah.

Mak, I love and miss you so much :( . No one can ever replace you.

The simplest way to ice your sugar cookie ..

it was a good thursday .. a baking day i would say :) .. had tiramisu done, iced the sugar cookies.

i presume you might wanna know how do i ice my sugar cookies. come, let me show u how ...

steps to do :-

1. get your baked heart shape cookie
2. make outline of your desired design with royal icing, let it set for awhile
3. once the outline set, ice the middle area of the heart shape
4. sprinkle colored rice to spice up the look :)
5. once your royal icing dry and set, line a doily paper as an additional / optional deco
6. put cookie with doily paper in a transparent plastic casing, seal and to make it sweeter, tie up with a satin ribbon.

Tiramisu & Sugar Cookie Day

pretty much hectic today.. been busy since got up this morning. After done with my mum, got my self ready for baking. Received Sugar Cookie order yesterday from a loyal client of mine :) ... She loves to have my sugar cookies at any time. Had 50pcs baked. And shall ice the cookies next morning. Just wanna rest tonite and browsing thru the net.

oh ya, in between the baking time.. managed to slot a few minutes for Tiramisu. was so happy today. don't even plan to open order for Tiramisu but Allah is great. 2 case of Tiramisu done and delivered today.!!..

Mini Birthday Pack for Nail

Last weekend really a hectic weekend .. 3 chores to be done in a row.  Need to get 50 MINI tote bags done, to bake 50pcs sugar cookies for the birthday pack item ( I'm lucky to have my sister to bake for me hehehe ) and to make Tiramisu for my Tiramisu diehard fan hehehe...

Thanks a lot to my siblings willing to help .. with all the hick ups hahaha. And since need to get help from my dad to deliver the birthday pack to Kuantan, i guess my speed was 150km/hr ..nahhhh. but i felt i was really SLOW hahaha..20km/hr ???

Anyway, for this lovely birthday boy.. I've made him MINI tote bag with goodies inside for his friends.
Used Japanese cotton and muslin for the lining also cotton tape for the handle.

The alphabets does spice up the tote bag. Time consuming but pretty and i don't mind doing that.

Hope he loves them ...and hope the mother loves the idea too ..Happy 6th Birthday Nail.

D.I.Y : Peanut Glass Jar

I would like to share what I've done recently. Aqiqah Favor for my cousin's new born baby.  Welcome on board Wan Ammar Zahin ! . oh ya he share the same birth date with my mum and another cousin's daughter Aimi Aisar. They were born on 17th September. Shall celebrate together huh !..

So, here's what I've done for Ammar ..

Theme color : Baby Blue & Lime Green

Tools & Materials

• Polkadots Organza Ribbon
• Satin Ribbon
• D.I.Y Name Tag
• Filled Glass Jar ( with any of your desired tidbits ) 
• Scissor & Craft Cutter
• Hole Puncher

1. Cut polkadots & satin ribbon to desired length. Make sure long enough to tie classic loop bow Cut your round D.I.Y name tag with craft paper cutter or scissor and write the baby's name with your beautiful handwriting. Make a hole by using the hole puncher.
2. Fill the glass jar with tidbits ( here i chose coated peanut )
3. Tie both ribbons around the jar and tie the polkadots ribbon into classic loop bow. Leave the satin ribbon untie.
4. Tag the name tag to the jar by inserting the satin ribbon and finish with tying another classic loop bow.

100 jars done for Ammar :) ..

Hope the steps help for you to do your own favor .. suits for any occasion.

Hand Bouquet delivered to Johore Baharu

My 2nd order from Nursia. But this time for her reception at hubby's side.  Managed to get the bouquet color that she requested to match her outfit. Alhamdulillah.

Thanks to her make up artist for delivering the bouquet.  Safely arrived and still fresh ! Was pretty nervous what if the bouquet layu ... i'll go crazy ! .. But of course not :) ..

I like the color combination. I used Blue Hydrangea, Blue dyed Chrysanthemum, Green Orchids and some fillers . And baby blue and soft pink for the ribbon. Do refer to the color palette from the pic below.

Mum's birthday ..

17th September 2012 .. birthday of my lovely mum. My sister baked her carrot cake and as usual the frosting and deco part i punya kerja la :) ..

The carrot cake generously frosted with cream cheese. And was gone within a day ... all the lovely tummies kenyang with the cake :).

Happy Birthday Mak from all of us. Moga Allah berikan kesembuhan dan mak sihat seperti dulu. We love you Mak.

Syawal Cuppies

Received call for an engagement cuppies .. Even it's raya, order is still an order :) . Since it's kind of last minute request, i had to offer for mixed flavor cup cakes instead of Red Velvet cuppies because all the baking shop still closed in Kuantan. Thus, I was not able to get my buttermilk ehhehe..

With all the hick ups .. was done with Pandan, Strawberry and Vanilla flavor cup cakes with butter cream frosting. Tq Zainah for the order :).

SOLD OUT sewing project

Just to share eventho 1st batch of passport holder named PASTICKET sold out during Ramadhan this year. Alhamdulillah.. great respond from followers.

Would like to have 2nd batch somewhere in near future. Need to get the sewing machine to be repaired or GET A NEW ONE hehehe .. The 21 year old sewing machine finally broke down just when I'm about to make alteration of mum's raya dress. Sounds pathetic !!! ..
